Welcome to Sherry's Magical Feline Photography!

For many years, I have enjoyed the beauty, grace, and wonderment of all types of cats, wild and domestic. If it was on Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel, I made sure I watched or recorded it for viewing later. It is with great awe and respect that I give much of the credit to the photographers. Oh, how I wished I could do their job! To be among what I consider God's greatest creatures and capture their very essence must truly be a gift to be treasured. While I have always loved taking pictures, it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered my true passion in life...that of capturing that special moment caught in time of the mystical cat! Most of what I do has been self taught through trial and error, but not without referring to the work of Cat Photographers that I admire. Helmi Flick, Tetsu Yamasaki, Preston Smith to name a few...

My husband, Keith, and I are very fortunate to have retired in our "middle ages" and this has given us considerable time to allow us to do things we enjoy. Mine most definitely is cat photography, and wouldn't you know it, his is fly fishing...somehow the two seem to mesh well together, although no fish have ever been harmed in the process, or the cat for that matter! I am sure, however, that if the two come together one of them will lose!

Most of my work thus far have been cat photo shoots in my home. I will happily come to your home for that special home shoot as well as travel to cat shows, or on special location scenic shots. And as anyone who has been loved and owned by a cat knows, cats are most definitely more comfortable in their own environment. Most of them are very unwilling participants otherwise. We are located in Northern Idaho, also known as the Panhandle. We are only an hour and a half away from Spokane, Washington and Western Montana.
